My goal as an artist is to explore the space within my paintings. Organic shapes, like the one of the rose, which is esoteric and traditional in both drawing and architecture, is the basis of my motivation. I use techniques that are fundamental to the languages of drawing and painting to shift the viewer's understanding of volume, light and the image in motion. The work centers on the tension that is created through minimal mark-making and my attempts to maximize the aesthetic potential of space on the surface.

I am working with experimenting with different media in order to further push the limitations of these distinctive visual qualities. By using a unique shape, which I then multiply in variations of size and color, I am able to take into consideration the relationship between the part and the whole. In a way, I aim to help the viewer find themselves in direct relation to the core of my work.
