Overview

Rhona Jack (b. 1993, Scotland) is a multi-disciplinary artist interested in blurring the lines between art, craft and design. Often combining sculpture and fiber art, she is enamored by the handmade and meditative processes of repetitive craft. Her printmaking process is a means to explore these ideas and develop patterns with color combinations. For instance, the artist’s 2017 Metre series was inspired by sketches of empty industrial buildings around the artist’s studio in Dundee.

Jack holds a BA in fine art from the University of Dundee. Her work has been exhibited in England, Canada, the United States and Scotland. In addition to her studio practice, she holds workshops and participatory projects with adults and children to teach textile techniques and encourage the reuse of scrap materials. Jack continues to live and work in Dundee, Scotland.
