Sculptor Louise Nevelson distinguished herself from her male contemporaries by crafting puzzle-like assemblages and towering abstract architectures out of discarded wood. The American artist was also an accomplished printmaker and made her first lithographs as an artist fellow at Tamarind Institute in 1963. She was known for using everyday objects and textiles in her experimental printing process. Delicate lace patterns appear in this shimmering print, titled Beyond and Beyond II.
