Tony Soulie

Tony Soulié (born 1955) is a recognized artist of the “new abstraction”. Opposing their elders of the School of Paris, the painters of his generation formed their approach and attitude in contact with the conceptual artists, those of the narrative figuration or land art.

Travelling around the world, a French artist Tony Soulie takes his expeditions as the occasions of ephemeral installations where he makes his photographic records. Visiting extreme areas, as volcanos, deserts or dense forests, he skillfully combines his voyager passion with the artistic career.

His work is included in many public collections including the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris and the Villette.
