Each drawing in this series is shaped in the silhouette of a rock that the artist found during her residency at the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation in Taos. The landscapes represented are based on her photos of Siberian Elm trees that provided shelter around her casita. Depicted dormant in winter and in sizes that would fit in one’s hand, the leafless branches are akin to arteries or palm lines.
