Opening Reception | Capitol Collective: Jorge Otero-Pailos: 5–7 p.m.

Join us 5–7 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026, during Constitution Week, for the opening reception of Capitol Collective, a new exhibition by artist, architect, and experimental preservationist Jorge Otero-Pailos. The artist will be in attendance. Presented in the gallery’s atrium, the exhibition brings together works based on architectural plans of the United States Capitol, the artist’s various residences, and the former U.S. Embassy in Oslo to explore how architecture shapes belonging, collective memory, and identity. This reception marks a rare opportunity to encounter Otero-Pailos's experimental preservation techniques through the mediums of painting and printmkaing.
