SITE SANTA FE presents Indian Theater: Native Performance, Art, and Self-Determination since 1969, the first major exhibition to position performance as a foundational force in contemporary Native art. Curated by Candice Hopkins, the exhibition brings together more than a hundred works by over forty artists and collectives, tracing the intersections of artistic experimentation, political activism, and Indigenous self-determination since 1969.
